Ash Parish Council (APC) has completed the construction of a new public footpath in Carrington Recreation ground. The path was built in response to complaints from residents regarding the lack of a public footpath between the entrances to Carrington Recreation Ground. At busy times, such as school pickup and drop off for Holly Lodge School, Children and Parents are at risk as they walk on the road. In December 2022 APC approved this project. The path now runs from the Carrington Lane Entrance from the East, towards the Western Lysons Avenue / Lynchfoard Road / Strafford Road roundabout entrance.
