A local nursery in Ash Vale is celebrating after receiving strong recognition in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Pippa’s House Ash Vale, part of the Grandir UK nursery group, was awarded Strong judgements in four key areas following an inspection on 15 September 2026. The nursery was recognised for its achievements in Achievement, Curriculum and Teaching, Inclusion, and Leadership and Governance, while meeting expected standards in all other areas assessed.
Inspectors praised the progress children make from their individual starting points, noting the confidence, independence and skills they develop as they prepare for the next stage of their education. The report also highlighted children’s communication and language development, describing how they confidently express their ideas and build positive relationships with others.
The nursery’s carefully planned curriculum was commended for encouraging curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through everyday experiences. Inspectors also recognised the positive relationships between staff and children, which help to extend learning and support children’s understanding of the world around them.
Another key strength identified was the nursery’s inclusive approach. Ofsted acknowledged the strong partnerships Pippa’s House has built with families and external agencies to ensure children receive the support they need and have equal opportunities to flourish.
The inspection also recognised the nursery leadership team for its commitment to continuous improvement, staff development and wellbeing, alongside recent work to strengthen eating safety and allergy management procedures.
Amy Garwood, Nursery Manager at Pippa’s House Ash Vale, said:
