Christmas Soup & More is cancelled

The Event Working Group Chairman has issued the following statement:

“In light of the new government guidance on Sunday 12 December 2021 and the change in national Covid level from 3 to 4 we have decided to cancel this week’s Christmas soup and more event.

We are very disappointed as I’m sure that you are all too, however it seems totally inappropriate and irresponsible to go ahead at this time. We recognise that anyone being infected at this event would then need to isolate over Christmas, which would be devastating for many who wish to see family and friends over this time.

We are thankful to the Co-op, who had donated mince pies for this event. These will now be donated to the local food parcels project, supporting families in crisis.
