Ash Manor School students secure places to represent England at the 2024 Dance World Cup in Prague

Seven Ash Manor School students, Ruby, Sophie, Belle, Florrie, Honey, Amelie and Lucy, have been selected to represent England at this year’s 2024 Dance World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.

The seven dancers auditioned against hundreds of other hopefuls to successfully secure their place on Team England.

Ruby and Sophie in Year 7, Belle, Florrie and Honey in Year 9, Amelie and Lucy in Year 11, will travel to Prague in June with their dance school the Kahli Lewis Dance Company to represent Ash Manor School as part of Team England and showcase their talents at the 2024 Dance World Cup.

Kahli Lewis (Kahli Lewis Dance Company) said:

I am so proud of them and all they have achieved. The School and students should be very proud of this achievement. I am delighted that we will be waving the flag for Ash Manor School on the world stage.

Ruby, Sophie, Belle, Florrie, Honey, Amelie and Lucy will be dancing for England in over 20 dances choreographed by Kahli Lewis including ballet, commercial, tap, contemporary, folklore and lyrical.”

As a non-funded event, the students are reaching out to the community to help them achieve their dream of dancing for their country by providing much-needed funding for their kit and essential training. Watch the 2024 Dance World Cup

The Dance World Cup 2024 takes place in Prague, from 27th June to 6th July, in which over 6,000 dancers will represent their countries to compete in the greatest all-genre dance competition in the world.

The event is streamed live so you can watch and support the students and Team England every dance step of the way. Information on how to view will be published on the dwcworld.com/2024_finals website.
