Official Opening of Ash Manor School’s Performing Arts Block

Ash Manor School has announced the official opening of the school’s new Performing Arts Block on Wednesday 22nd September 2021. Guests were invited to view the new building and watch performances from the talented students in their brand-new theatre and music rooms. In addition to the Theatre, Drama Rooms, and Music Rooms, this Performing Arts Block also houses new  Science facilities. The building is a specialist space for drama, dance, and music. The school not only hopes that this will be a fantastic asset for its students, but also intends it to be a resource for the community. Part of the cost of the project has come from Section 106 funding or “planning obligations” which is provided by developers building homes in the area.

The School plays an active role in the local community and welcomes students from within Ash and the surrounding areas. Most recently, the Ash Manor School Choir sang at the Mayor’s Civic Service in Guildford. At this event, the Ash Manor Combined Cadet Force (CCF) led a precession including the Mayor, Borough Councillors, and distinguished guests from the Guild Hall to the Holy Trinity Church where the school choir greeted the congregation.

Open to the community

The theatre and drama rooms are now available for public hire. The soft/sprung flooring is ideally suited to the performing arts, with all needs catered for. Interested parties are asked to contact the School via its online contact form, email or telephone.
