On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of August 2023, Ash Museum is hosting a free public event at the Ash Victoria Hall. The Museum will be displaying its extensive archives, which document the local History of Ash, Ash Vale, Ash Green, and Tongham. The museum holds pop-up events throughout the year, such as a display at the Village Fete and the Ash Library. However, the last event of this size was held in 2014 in Victoria Hall and is not to be missed!
Event opening hours
The event is taking place at the Ash Victoria Hall, Ash Hill Rd, Ash, Aldershot GU12 5DN. Entry is Free.

- Sunday 13th August 2023 10 am – 3 pm
What will be inside the event?
Inside the hall, you will find a wealth of history documenting our local area. Tea and Coffees and cake will also be available for purchase with reading material on the table to enjoy. The Museum also will be collecting residents’ memories about Ash, which will enter the Museum’s Archive.

Books for sale
The Museum also produces many interesting books, full of knowledge and local photos. The money raised from their sale is used to fund the upkeep of the Museum’s collection. These books will be available for sale at the Village Memories event, but you can also purchase them by contacting enquiries@ashmuseum.org.uk.

Ash Museum’s monthly opening hours
The Ash & District Local History Museum Society opens on the 3rd Sunday of every month between 2 pm and 4:30 pm and is located within Ash Cemetery and is accessed via Ash Church Road, Next to St Peter’s Church and Opposite the Catholic Church of The Holy Angels.
Become a member
Ash Museum is also supported by members of the Ash and District Museum Society, who pay a membership fee of £5.00 per year and give generously, many increasing the amount given Gift Aiding their donation. By being a member they receive Newsletters throughout the year and are invited to the Annual General Meeting held in November, which includes a guest speaker.
Volunteer
Are you interested in local history, The Ash & District Local History Museum Society is seeking Volunteers to help during its opening hours. It opens on the 3rd Sunday of every month between 2 pm and 4:30 pm and is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
