From mid day on Sunday 17th July 2022 the Farnborough Airshow traffic management scheme begins. This particularly impacts the Lynchford Road exit of the a331 traffic and adjoining roads in north camp. Additional traffic is expected throughout the Airshow. It is recommend to avoid the area where possible, particularly at commuter times.
The changes to the traffic in Farnborough will remain in place until 10pm on Friday 22 July. The Park Road one-way system (from its junction with Reading Road to its junction with Lynchford Road), will be reversed. Adjoining and residential roads will be closed.
Rushmoor Borough Council (RBC) said, “we appreciate that additional traffic will cause inconvenience to local residents. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.”
Alternative route for local traffic
RBC has stated that it wishes to encourage traffic travelling both north and south in Farnborough to use Alexandra Road (B3403).
Traffic between the A31 at Runfold, near Farnham and junction four of the M3 will be encouraged to use the A331 (Blackwater Valley Relief Road – BVR).
The AA, in conjunction with CSP Traffic Management, is responsible for traffic management throughout this year’s Airshow.
