Wharf Road Closure Saturday 27th November

Wharf Road will be closed Due to the Fantasia event on Saturday 27th November 2021, this temporary closure will be between 4pm and 6pm. This is to allow pedestrians to enter the road and take part in the Christmas carols and tree lighting event. Following the conclusion of the event, the road will be re-opened at 6 pm.

Wharf Road closure details

Access to all vehicles will be closed from the Vale Road / Shawfield Road entrance. The closure will extend to Woollards Road. Traffic management measures will also be placed on Prospect Road, which will permit non-residents attempting to travel via Wharf Road to turn around via Springfield Road and route via Vale Road.

Information to residents and businesses

Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. The traffic management company will make sure you can get to and from your house or business when it is safe to do so. Please first talk to a member of staff on-site if you need help, as they can solve most issues.
