Surrey Libraries have Re-opened (2021)

Ash library

Surrey Libraries was pleased to announce this week that following the publication of the government’s roadmap, all Surrey libraries became open for browsing from the 12th of April. This will mean you will be able to come into the library and choose books, use a PC, or pick up requests.

In a letter to all its customers Simon Harding (Head of Libraries and Heritage) Said,

The Community Partnered Libraries will be reopening with a mix of browsing and click and collect.

For full details of our opening times and service offer please visit our website: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/libraries

Once we have reopened, subject to the conditions being met for the next stage of the road map, we will also be looking to reintroduce other services over time. This will include a return to events and activities, and we will provide more information on those in due course.

In the meantime, you can still access free requests and the ready reads service where we will choose books for you in your favourite category. That is available here: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/libraries/news-and-events/news/coronavirus/ready-reads#

We also continue to have a great range of online events and activities available to access through our website and You Tube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI2t8iIVp7Jma5qA8pJBtTA

You can see a list of all the measures we have in place to ensure we are COVID secure here: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/libraries/news-and-events/news/coronavirus
