Ash Museum has told Ash Parish News that it is delighted to welcome the Strange Old Things Mobile Museum and its fascinating Conflict Collection on Sunday 19 July 2026 (2 pm – 4.30 pm).
This unique hands-on exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to get up close to genuine historical artefacts from both World Wars. Unlike many museum displays, visitors will be able to handle and examine a range of authentic items while learning about their history and the stories behind them.
The Conflict Collection includes:
- Original military uniforms
- Wartime weapons and equipment
- Medals and decorations
- Letters and personal items from servicemen and women
- Objects connected with both the First and Second World Wars
Whether you are a history enthusiast, researching family military connections, or simply curious about the past, this is a rare opportunity to experience history through real artefacts and expert interpretation.
The Strange Old Things Mobile Museum is dedicated to bringing history to local communities through engaging, interactive displays that help bring the experiences of wartime generations to life.
