Community comes together to make re-usable face masks

Community stalwart Bill Cole (now Ash Parish Councillor) and his wife Jenny, continued to support their local community during the COVID-19 pandemic by making re-usable face masks. Jenny, made a remarkable 2800 face masks. Fellow community members, including former councillor Pat Scott & her husband Len, helped collect materials and distribute the masks. These were free to residents however voluntary donations were made to Ash Football Club

Update:

Due to the generosity of residents donations, the sum reached over a staggering £3000, for the intended benefit of Ash United Football Club. Ash FC used the money to help refurbish their clubhouse and to buy a new football kit.

The masks are still available from Ash Parish Council at their Ash Centre office. All donations collected for these masks are to go to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
