Residents in Ash are invited to refresh their homes, wardrobes, and shelves at a welcoming community Swap Shop event this spring, with no money required.
Hosted by the Guildford Community Wellbeing team, the popular initiative encourages people to bring along unwanted items and exchange them freely with others. Even better, those who don’t have anything to swap are still warmly invited to browse and take what they need.
What is the Swap Shop?
The Swap Shop is a simple yet powerful idea: reuse, recycle, and share within the local community. Inside the hall, visitors can bring items they no longer need and exchange them for something new-to-them.
Items typically include:
- Clothes
- Books
- Toys
- Games
- CDs and DVDs
- Baby items
- Bikes
If you think someone else could benefit from it, bring it along. Organisers ask that no large or electrical items are included.
The event creates a relaxed, friendly space where people can connect while reducing waste and saving money.
