On Monday 26 June 2023, a 10km sponsored walk is taking place through the Surrey countryside to raise funds for the provision of free legal advice. The money raised will go directly to local legal advice agencies such as Citizens Advice South West Surrey.
The teams taking part include volunteers from the legal community, such as judges, law firms, barristers and more.
Citizens Advice South West Surrey says demand for legal advice services has risen dramatically over the past year.
With the rise of food and energy bills, families are struggling to make ends meet, which is why Citizens Advice are experiencing record-breaking demand for their services.
Riz Mohammed Citizens Advice South West Surrey told Ash Parish News;
We are taking on a sponsored 10km walk on Monday 26th June to raise funds for Citizens Advice Guildford and Ash (Citizens Advice South West Surrey as of 1st June).
We provide free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information for the benefit of the local community, to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and to ensure individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge or an inability to express their needs effectively.
Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.
Many thanks for your support.
