SSC road repair: A323 Ash Street surface dressing

Planned works:

Surrey County Council (SCC) Highways will be closing parts of Ash Street from Tuesday 25 May 2021 for up to 4 days to spread surface dressing. The main work is expected to take a maximum of 2 days, however 4 days are advertised to cover programme changes and to return to sweep away loose chippings.

During the closure, a diversion route will direct traffic via Ash Hill Road and Shawfield Road.

Residents are also advised that for a few days after the work and during prolonged spells of hot weather, the surface may still be sticky and could easily be carried into your home on shoes.

Information to residents and Businesses

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. SCC will make sure you can get to and from your house or business when it is safe to do. Please first talk to a member of staff on site if you need help, as they can solve most issues.
