Ash Parish Remembrance Sunday
Unable to hold the traditional annual Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade, the Parish still remembered “Our Fallen” those who made the ultimate sacrifice for Queen and Country, by holding a Covid Safe Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial in Ash Hill Road. The service was conducted by Rev. Keith Bristow of St Peter’s Church, Ash. The music was kindly provided by the Friary Brass Band The number of attendees was strictly limited because of the Government’s social distancing guidelines, however it was attended by the Chairman of Ash Parish Council, Cllr Nigel Manning and the local Member of Parliament, the Right Honourable Michael Gove. Other local attendees included representatives from St John Ambulance, the Scouts and Girl Guiding associations. Wreaths had also been laid by organisations who were not able to attend on the day.
