Surrey County Council (SCC) Highways has issued an advanced notice of the planned closure of Longfield Road between Monday, 9th June and Friday, 1st August 2025. The work has been advertised as undertaking “Full Construction of the Carriageway including Fine Milling Works, Full Depth Reconstruction to the carriageway and all kerbing and civils activities plus Crack and Joint Seal Repair including Lining Works“.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles. A Diversion route will direct traffic via Ash Street and Shawfield Road.
Information to Residents and Businesses
The engineers will make sure you can get to and from your house or business, but there will be times when delays are unavoidable. Residents are advised to talk to a member of staff on-site if they need help.
