NetworkRail: Shawfield Road Traffic management

Shawfield Road Traffic management

UPDATED: Rescheduled 2nd Jan – 30 May 2026.

Surrey County Council (SCC) Highways has issued an advanced notice of the lane closure of Shawfield Road by Network Rail. This is currently scheduled to be from 14th October 2024 until 28th February 2025. The works require the closure and diversion of the public footpath, resulting in Traffic control (two-way signals).

Information to residents and Businesses

Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. The staff on site will ensure you can get to and from your house or business when it is safe. Please first talk to a member of staff on-site if you need help, as they can solve most issues.

Buses

Please check with your bus operator for any alterations to the service during the closure. Stage Coach offers a journey planner on their website to see if it impacts you, see https://www.stagecoachbus.com/plan-a-journey.
