Road Closure: Ash Green Road

Surrey County Council (SCC) has begun a Road Closure on Ash Green Road while multiple works are completed. The works are scheduled between 5 May and 20 September 2025 and are located along Ash Green Road from the Foreman Road/White Lane junction down to the new Bloor Homes development by The Firs. Traffic is to be delivered via the Chester Road Bridge.

Work information

SCC has published that the works on Ash Green Road include;

  • Installation of new surface water drainage down Ash Green Road
  • Installation of footpath from new Bloor Homes site along Ash Green Road to Foreman Road junction
  • Installation of Lamp columns down Ash Green Road
  • Resurfacing part of Ash Green Road by Drovers Way Junction
  • Reshaping Ash Green Road/Foreman Road junction on Ash Green Road

Additional works will be completed on Foreman Road, resulting in temporary multi-way signals.

  • Reshaping Ash Green Road/Foreman Road Junction
  • Replacing the surface course to anit-skid along Foreman Road at Ash Green Road junction
  • Widening the existing Footpath on Foreman Road
Footpath works along the South of Foreman Road from the bend by The Croft to Ash Green Road junction.
Resurfacing works on Forman Road at the Ash Green Road junction
