York Road works

Planned works:

Surrey County Council (SCC) Highways has issued an advanced notice of York Road works between 7 am and 5 pm starting Thursday the 9th of February 2023. Work may take up to 5 days, however, depending on whether they are anticipated to be complete within 2 days.

The works are required to carry out carriageway patching and/or maintenance works. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles. All other traffic to follow the diversion route via:

  • D79 York Road
  • D79 Grange Farm Road
  • D79 Winchester Road
  • D79 Exeter Road
  • D79 Salisbury Road
  • D79 York Road
