Ash Parish residents can now benefit from a new initiative designed to support healthier lifestyles and ease pressure on NHS services. The Active Wellbeing Service at Surrey Sports Park is open for self-referrals – offering tailored exercise programmes for people living with, or at risk of, long-term health conditions.
What’s the aim?
This service provides supervised, personalised exercise plans created by qualified coaches to help individuals improve their health and wellbeing.
How does it work?
Participants start with a full health check, followed by a bespoke plan that may include gym sessions, group classes, swimming, or sports – all adapted to individual needs.
Cost
The programme is free or offered at a reduced rate depending on circumstances. Those receiving Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or PIP can access the service free for six months.
