Ash Parish kicks off the start of the festive season with its annual Christmas Market at the Ash Centre on Saturday, 29th November 2025. The market will be open from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, with stalls both inside and outside the Ash Centre.
Expect a wonderful mix of local organisations, charities, and businesses, offering festive gifts, games, and plenty of seasonal cheer. There will also be hot food and refreshments, plus a small fair on the recreation ground for extra fun. After the close of the market, a band will play music to Christmas carols from 4:30 pm, culminating the in the arrival of Santa, who will turn the lights on at 5 pm. A brief period of snow is also forecast from 4:30 pm at the Christmas tree! - 11:00: Stall holders arrive to set up
- 13:00: Ash Centre Christmas Market opened (Inside and out)
- 16:30: Ash Centre Christmas Market closes
- 16:30: Wharf Road Christmas Music / Band & Snow machine
- 16:45: (Approx.) Arrival of Santa
- 17:00: Christmas tree lights turn on
Ash Centre Market
The Ash Centre market is open from 1 pm until 4:30 pm and includes a mixture of both charity and local craft stalls. Entry to the Christmas market is free.

Christmas Carols & Lights
From approximately 4:30 pm the Ash Vale Ensemble will play Christmas Carol Music. Carol sheets will be handed out by marshalls after the closure of Ash Wharf. Father Christmas will then arrive to turn on the Christmas Lights.
Road Closures
For everyone’s safety, Wharf Road will be closed on Saturday, 30th November from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the carol singing and lights switch-on.
