Gleeson Land has launched a public consultation on its proposals for a new residential development at Shortland Farm in near Ash. The plans outline the construction of up to 200 homes, alongside landscaping improvements, enhanced footpaths, and supporting infrastructure.
Before submitting a formal planning application to Guildford Borough Council, Gleeson Land is seeking feedback from the local community to help shape the final proposal. The consultation is being managed by planning consultancy Lichfields (Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners Limited).
A dedicated website (www.shortlandfarm.com) has been set up to provide further details about the project and to collect public input via an online questionnaire. Feedback can also be submitted directly via email to shortlandfarm@lichfields.uk.
The consultation period opened on 26 August 2025 and will close on 22 September 2025. After this date, all responses will be reviewed and summarised in a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), which will accompany the planning application.
Local residents will also have the opportunity to comment on the application once it has been formally submitted to Guildford Borough Council later this autumn.
