The UK Parliamentary General Election will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024. Following boundary changes, Ash is part of a new consistency called, Godalming and Ash.

Register to vote

The Deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, 18th June 2024. If you are not registered, applications can be made online https://www.gov.uk/register-to- vote.

Postal votes and Proxy Votes

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, The Burys, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 1HR by 5 pm on Wednesday, 19 June 2024.

Check if you have accepted photo ID

Before you apply for a Voter Authority Certificate, check if you already have accepted photo ID and when you need it to vote. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm Wednesday, 26 June 2024. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online https://gov.uk/apply-for- photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.

  1. A poll for the election of a Member of Parliament for Godalming and Ash will be held on Thursday 4 July 2024, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.
