Police appeal for witnesses after pub fight in Ash Vale

Pub Fight in Ash Vale
On the evening of the 1st May 2024, Police responded to an incident on Vale Road. The area was cordoned off by Surrey Police whilst a police investigation took place. Since then Surrey police have stated, “Four people have been arrested following a large fight at a pub” and that “the two victims were not as seriously injured as first thought and are making a good recovery”. Cheif Inspector Sam Adock was also keen to stress that “that violence of this nature will not be tolerated in our local communities, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our local residents safe and feeling safe”

Guildford Beat (Surrey Police) :

Officers were called to the Admiral pub in Vale Road around 10.30pm where they found two men with serious injuries, including knife wounds.
They were both taken to hospital. One man has been treated for his injuries and discharged. The second man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Armed officers and the police helicopter were deployed to locate the suspect. A man matching the description of the suspect was stopped in Winchester Road, #Ash, in the company of two teenage boys. All three, including a 50-year-old man, a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. A fourth man, aged 38, was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing police. They are all currently in custody and enquiries remain ongoing.

West Surrey Chief Inspector Sam Adcock said:

We responded quickly following reports that two people had been stabbed following an event at the Admiral pub and were able to locate a man matching the description of the suspect shortly after receiving the initial call.
I appreciate that such a serious offence will have caused significant concern within the local community, and I want to reassure you that we are doing everything possible to progress our enquiries and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice for their actions.
Thankfully, the two victims were not as seriously injured as first thought and are making a good recovery; however, I want to stress that violence of this nature will not be tolerated in our local communities, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our local residents safe and feeling safe.”
