During December last year, local volunteers from Ash and Ash Vale assisted the Rushmoor Rotary Club’s annual Christmas charity fundraising collection by helping with the Christmas float. At a special awards evening, the volunteers who helped the Rotary Club, were presented with donations for their organisation. The Rushmoor Rotary president (Bob Anderson) explained that the money collected will be donated to a number of good causes such as the Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal. However in recognition of their support and with thanks to the generosity of residents of Ash, 1st Ash Vale Scouts, Ash & Ash Vale Community Street Team & Shawfield School Association, each received a donation for their organisation.
