New Ash Wharf Dispersal Order 17 Dec – 7 Jan:
Cllr Jo Randall has confirmed to Ash Parish News that Surrey Police has issued a new Dispersal Order until 7 January 2022. The order is aimed at tackling issues around anti-social behaviour in Ash. This order does not forbid the lawful gathering of persons, but it does give the police the power to dispersal if required. More information on this announcement can be found on the Guildford Beat Facebook site.
Police Announcement
“The dispersal order currently in place in Ash Wharf between the hours of 2pm and midnight has been renewed between 17 December and 7 January.
A dispersal order under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act gives us the power to direct anyone committing crime or disorder to leave the dispersal order area – this includes the belief that they are likely to harass or cause alarm or distress to anyone else. Previous dispersal orders for Ash Wharf have been very effective in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
To report anti-social behaviour or any concerns you might have, you can privately message us via Facebook or on our website > https://www.surrey.police.uk/…/report-antisocial…/. Always call 999 in an emergency.”
