Local residents create fun for neighbours, lets go on a bear hunt!

Bear Hunt

Please share this idea to put a bear in the window for residents to hunt and ask your neighbours to join in!

During the COVID-19 restrictions there are now fewer activities that can be conducted safely, however local residents in our neighbouring Parish (Tongham) have created a bear hunt by asking residents to place a bear (or picture of a bear) in a road facing window. Hearing about this, Ash Parish residents have also begun circulating the idea on social media to create an Ash Parish bear hunt and Ash Parish News would like to ask as many readers as possible to join in.

Local resident Penny Gray has set up the Bear Hunt – Ash/Ash Vale Facebook group which is free for residents to join and post their photo and street name.

There have already been many sightings near The Admiral Pub, how many can you find?

As well as the bear hunt, some residents have kept their Christmas lights shining during these dark winter months to show their support for Clap for Heroes and to remind passers-by that they are not alone and the light has not gone out. Our community is what makes where we live special and Ash Parish News is proud to be a part of it.
