A new Portsmouth based start up called TOOB has approached Ash Parish Council to enable 900Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Home within Ash Parish. The Amenities, Finance and Administration Committee (AFA) agreed to enter into discussions to lease a suitable site to locate a small 7.5 x 7.5 meter compound, which in appearance and scale is similar to a small electrical substation.
These are early talks and no decision has yet been made. Healthy competition ensures fairer broadband pricing for all as the need to build Digital UK has never been greater.
