Ash Parish Council votes for £5k COVID response

Ash Parish Council has this evening voted to grant St Mary’s Church, working in partnership with Ash, Ash Vale & Ash Green Coronavirus Support Group, £5,000.00 to help them support the community during this pandemic. This group of volunteers have been working tirelessly to help vulnerable and elderly residents in Ash Parish.

Ash Parish Council has already provided the group leaflets free of charge and has been trying to release the funds for the group for several weeks, but has been prevented by doing so by laws governing the handing out of public funds by councils.

“Ash Parish Council is pleased to have awarded a grant of £5000.00 to St Mary’s church working in partnership with the Ash, Ash Vale, Ash Green Coronavirus Support Group, to help pay for the supply of essential medicines and food for the most vulnerable in our Parish.

Cllr Nigel Manning, Chairman, Ash Parish Council

This vote will go a long way in helping the most vulnerable in our community.
